Carrickfergus is a beautiful song from Northern Ireland that is believed by some to be the origin for the song, The Water is Wide, which is usually thought of as as American folk song. In this arrangement I have combined the two songs. If you listen closely to the bridge section of Carrickfergus, you can hear some of the melody found in The Water is Wide.
